A Texas man died after he struck his head while riding down a slope at Ski Apache near Ruidoso on Wednesday.
Authorities said Robert Kieschnick, 29, reportedly died on the Capitan Slope, an intermediate trail, shortly after the accident.
The medical investigator said Kieschnick might have hit his head on a rock.
He was not wearing a helmet.
Kieschnick?s wife, a registered nurse, witnessed the accident and was the first responder.
