An oven overheated on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, leading to flight crews trying to contain smoke.

Air India LTD is the only Indian airline to operare a Dreamliner. An oven which is used to heat food on flight overheated on a flight from New Delhi to the eastern city of Kolkata on July 24. According to Air India spokesman? G. Prasada Rao, the overheating did not lead to a fire and the flight was not diverted. The aircraft is still in service, Bloomberg reports.

This is just the latest incident to occur on a Dreamliner flight. U.S. aviation regulators ordered an inspection of the jets after a fire broke out on a Dreamliner that was parked at London's Heathrow Airport. The fire in that incident was connected to a? Honeywell International Inc. (HON) transmitter powered by a lithium battery.

Air India has ordered seven of the jets. They have begun to remove the emergency locator transmitters on their jets as a precautionary measure, an India civil aviation ministry official said.

The? Directorate General of Civil Aviation? in India is looking into what could have caused the oven to overheat.

The Federal Aviation Administration has ordered? United Continental Holdings Inc., the only U.S. airline with Dreamliners, to complete the inspections of emergency locator transmitters by Aug. 5.

Every 787 across the globe was grounded back in January due to the overheating of lithium-ion batteries on two of the planes. Boeing had to redesign the battery before the planes were allowed to fly again.
