Seymour?s girls tennis team was competitive at three positions in Wednesday?s semifinal match of the Hoosier Hills Conference Tournament, but seventh-ranked Floyd Central won four of the five matches in straight sets for a 5-0 victory.
After losing the first set 6-0 at No. 1 doubles, Seymour?s Karen Dringenburg and Payton Warren forced a third set with a 6-4 win. But they then lost 6-0.
At No. 2 doubles, Macey Warren and Emily Rudge lost 6-2, 7-5. At No. 3 singles, Alex Jamison defeated Seymour?s Emma Wood 6-4, 6-4 in a battle of freshmen.
